ATV Trail Riding on Barnwell Mountain
First Impression of BMRA:
This was our First visit to Barnwell Mountain to do some ATV Trail Riding and we were very overwhelmed at first. When you check in at the office, they have nice color maps for very cheap and you would be remiss not to purchase. We thought we would be ok without that map, and we wasted a lot of time we should have been riding. This place is big, and they allow all off road vehicles all about the park, so to help you locate the ATV trail riding, you should get the map. After we got the lay of the land, we had a great time. They have a huge trail called the adventure trail that almost circles the entire park and is a very easy ride for all skill levels. We got about 53 miles of riding in on our first day.
They have some very cool bunk houses and cabins that are right in the action, and are very inexpensive. We will look to stay on property next time. Over all it was an awesome first impression and we will definitely be back! Below you will find 3 videos of our first day. The videos show the trails and what kind of ATV trail riding is at BMRA.

Where to Stay:
Barnwell Mountain has primitive camp sites throughout the park. Campers are welcome to enjoy the park’s shower facilities, remote pavilions, and dump station.
The park’s electric camp has thirty amp hook ups for recreational vehicles. These twenty pull through sites can accomodate any length vehicle. They have no water or sewer hook ups but a dump station is available near the premium rv sites.
Eight premium rv spaces are available just north of the electric camp. These spaces offer fifty amp electrical connections and water and sewer hook ups. They are pull through spaces and can accomodate any size vehicle with the exception of spaces seven and eight that should be restricted to thirty four feet or less.
Everyone can enjoy the showers facilities at the office or near the pavilion. There are also several toilets placed throughout the park for your convenience.
The park also has three cabins and five bunkhouses available for nightly rentals.
Barnwell Mountain facilities and trail system were designed for motorized off-road purposes. The trail system was developed and is most importantly is maintained by all-volunteer TMTC members. The trails are mapped and rated with signage at the trail heads.
Whether you are an off-road pro, a novice, or something in between, you will find adventure for the whole family in a very unique and beautiful setting at Barnwell Mountain!
